I'm allergic to something in mascara.This awesome primer is black, so I can use a coat to define my lashes since I can't wear mascara.
This is my new go to mascara for every day. I like to keep my every day makeup really natural, and sometimes regular mascara looks like too much. This primer looks like your eyelashes, just a little darker. It's just defines them. I love love LOVE this look. It goes on easy and doesn't transfer to the skin easily at all (I apply it on my lower lashline too, and I never have any on my undereye at the end of a long day). I also use it underneath my other mascaras and it really helps with volume. I DEFINITELY recommend this product.

I like it because it stays on & separates your lashes well . For daytime that's all I use & for nighttime I use mascara over it . I'm a natural redhead so.my lashes are light blond so I basically leave it on at all times .
I have used this primer for 5 years- most days I do not even use mascara on top. Much healthier lashes! Totally natural look.
HI! This will be short & to the point. I hv used "little black primer" since it began..(No need to do the math!) If U don't like clumps, shadows, dried up & thick, or those new black "flecks" I hv noticed lately, this has never let me down. (Do NOT buy anything that has BOND on the label!) If U want to check ingredients on any BONDED item, be certain U hv a strong stomach b4 doing so, or care to wake up washing these flecks off in the a.m. Meanwhile, The little black primer is available in travel size!
This worked very well for a first mascara for a young teen. Not flaky, chunky, just colors her blonde lashes, waterproof and just what we were looking for.
I know they call this Little Black Primer, but I think this is a great light mascara. It highlights my eyelashes without making them clump. It doesn't smudge nor does it flake. It is my go to mascara. Please do not get rid of this product. I really can't speak to how easy it is to remove. For me, all mascaras do not clean up as nicely as I would like.However, I generally am able to remove the mascara. Since I have a tendency to get chalazeas, I try not to wear even the Little Black Primer all the time. I do wear it when I go out, or special occasions.
This is a great primer. Works well under my favorite mascara when I’m going for a more done up look.Since it’s black, I find I wear it more by itself. Gives a nice natural look and removes easily with normal face wash. It does not transfer to my lids or under eye area either (and many mascaras do for me).
Best mascara primer ever! Usually, I don’t even wear mascara over it because it’s light and accentuates my lashes so well. Truly my favorite primer/mascara.
Love this product, but the brush that applies the product has been changed and it takes more time to get enough of the product on to be able to see it.
I have used primer in the past but it was white color. This is black so can be used with or without mascara. So far I’ve used it without mascara. I am very happy with the results.

For those of us who want simply to enhance what we've got, and not look like we're slathered in products, this is the BEST! I wear this primer by itself, and it serves as my mascara. People don't think I'm wearing anything, but the difference between my bare lashes and wearing Little Black Primer is truly dramatic. As I've aged, my features have become less defined and I seem to be "fading." This helps bring back my younger, more striking looking eyes. It's a very natural look, long-lasting, and smudgeproof. I really couldn't ask for anything more in my everyday mascara. Truly a superior product, well worth the price.
I HAVE USED THIS FOR SEVERAL YEARS. I USE IT ALONE NOT AS A PRIMER BECAUSE I DO NOT WANT THICK MASCARA. I HAVE EYELASHES, I JUST WANT SOMETHING TO MAKE THEM SHOW UP MORE. IT IS A GREAT PRODUCT NO MATTER WHICH WAY YOU USE IT.
Use it as a fabulous primer to enhance your lashes when the mascara goes on (it legitimately helps double them), and then use it as a sealer over the mascara to help with smudging.GREAT product, as so much of Estee Lauder is!
I have been rinsing the wand of my mascara off under the faucet because I can’t stand all the product that sticks to it. This mascara solves that problem & gives me natural looking lashes. Best mascara (primer) I’ve ever used. Highly recommend if you are looking for product to highlight your lashes without looking like you have mascara on. Perfect for everyday. Perfect to achieve the “no-makeup” look.
