This liner has fantastic pigment and is long-lasting. I wear it daily now. Love that it is EWG verified.
I love how pigmented the liquid eyeliner is and how it is ready to apply. I have hooded eyes and the skin is easily tugged by eyeliner pens so I often use this to go over what I have drawn with a pen (like Too Faced Better Than Sex easyglide waterproof or e.l.f. H2O proof eyeliner pen), though it is nice for how easy it washes off on its own. Not great for super sweaty or rainy days, & that's okay - it's not meant to be waterproof. The rate of removal on its own is convenient if you are trying to remove your makeup quickly. Be careful and gentle with this eyeliner, and if you aren't getting more liquid on your applicator when you dip it in, try closing it and shaking it. Because my eyes are hooded, I sometimes have to put on an extra coat near the wings and keep my eyes closed for some extra seconds, but that's okay with me and simply the nature of water-solubld liquid eyeliner. It is handy to have a dollar store collapsible hand fan to make makeup dry faster & reduce transfer.
Apparently not everyone experiences burning and drying skin when they put on eyeliner and mascara. I was out here thinking we all just collectively toughed it out for the sake of beauty. For at least 15 years of my life. So that sucks. But the good news is that I have since learned the error of my ways and found this brand. It goes on smoothly, works like regular eyeliner and mascara, and honestly I was shaken when I put it on and for the first time in my life didn’t immediately experience eyewatering burning on my eyelids. It’s probably the lack of literal embalming fluid (formaldehyde) in the ingredient list (it’s in a ton of eye makeup because apparently the days when women would put arsenic in their eye drops to get that doe-eyed look isn’t as far off in history as we all assume). If you’re experiencing burning for beauty, you’re doing it wrong. Get this and thank me later.
Easy to use.This eyeliner can be applied in any style from a very sharp, crisp line to a lived-in smokey line.This photo was taken after 14 hours of wear which included two workouts and a full work shift at a very physical job.Many eyeliners wear well but itch.The milder ones are comfortable but often fade.This product is gentle and it has great pigmentation and coverage.It feels weightless on and it looks great after many hours of wear.I had almost given up trying to find a product that I liked as much as the Marc Jacobs Highliner.Here it is, finally!
Clean ingredients and stays in place. The tip is thin so it makes a nice clean line.
