This mascara is great because it's long lasting, doesn't smudge, and doesn't make my eyelashes look clumpy.
i feel like it does leave some smudges after a long day but that is too be expected!! it lasts forever and holds its shape well🫶🫶
Nice super black color. 2 coats is perfect, lashes look longer and layers smoothly without clumps/bumps. Lasts very long without smudging, but it finally starts flaking into tiny tiny bits. I THINK I prefer this flaky breakdown over the classic smudging raccoon eyes breakdown of other mascaras, but I’m not sure. At least the tiny flakes are easy to wipe away. I use oil makeup remover to take it off.
Asian Eyelashes: This is my go-to mascara! My eyelashes are pretty long from my American genes but my asian genes take control of how straight they are. I’ve always had a problem keeping a curl up but these had them in for HOURS! I don’t use a special eyelash curler, it’s not heated or anything but is designed for asian eyes and those two things together is just perfect. I have short bottom lashes so i never coated them because it would always give me raccoon eyes but this doesn’t smudge a bit! Not even joking, after 8 hours at school and an additional few hours after, not a single black smudge anywhere. That’s the problem…Tough to clean: I love the long-lasting properties of this but it is TOUGH. Seriously like cement on my eyelashes. I got an oil cleaner balm for my eyelashes like other reviews said to do and it worked better than using average makeup wipes. However, it still doesn’t get it all off. I kept the oil on my eyelashes a bit to soften them and used a spiral wand to brush it out which gets most of it but even after scrubbing and washing, I still notice a few chunks on mascara on my eyelashes.Warning: If you have thin or gentle eyelashes, you might want to skip. It’s yanked out a few eyelashes for me, which isn’t a huge problem because I have pretty thick eyelashes but it might be a concern if your eyelashes are sparse or easy to pull out.Edit: I’ve been using this as my main mascara for a good amount of time now, and here are some things I’ve noticed in comparison to the beginning.1.) It’s gotten clumpy and lost its smooth properties. I take good care of my makeup, but this really clumped up on me.2.) It’s a no-mistake type product. Say you accidentally got some on your eyelid after getting a good eye look, if you want to get that off; you’re gonna have to remove the whole eye makeup.3.) It doesn’t come off naturally. At some point in those months, I ran out of oil based cleanser and nothing, i mean nothing, got this stuff off. Three days after, it would be glued to my eyelashes.TL;DRLove it but not for everyone. Incredibly hard to get off and may be a concern to people with thin or sensitive eyelashes. No raccoon eyes whatsoever, completely transfer-less and smudge-proof!
The Amazon ad doesn't supply an ingredients list, and no one responded to my question about that. Finally, after much searching, I found a statement of ingredients on the stylevana web site and report them for two of these mascaras.The mascara is not tested on animals, but I wanted a list of ingredients because I ALSO wanted a product that didn't contain any animal-derived ingredients (like beeswax, lanolin, cholesterol, carmine, etc.). I am so surprised by this mascara. When I saw the thickness of the wand, I thought oh no, it's going to be clumpy and too heavy for my long thin Asian lashes! But it thickened my eyelashes and held them up so well. I live in a humid climate and no matter WHAT will get melted mascara under my eyes. Not this one! Only took off one star because its difficult to get off haha. You will need an oil-based makeup remover.
It doesn't smudge or run, it makes my lashes look longer and thicker and it's easily removed by my evening cleanser. I highly recommend this product as it's worth what I'm paying. Have paid a lot more for a lot less results. This mascara is a keeper.
This mascara is kind of magical. It’s probably not going to be recommended by a dermatologist because it seriously doesn’t come off. But hear me out. I have an autoimmune disease that makes my eyes so dry that I have to use artificial tears almost every hour. I can’t wear contacts and anything that gets into my eyes is stuck there like glue. I have tried every organic, ophthalmologist tested stupid expensive mascara out there. I even ordered $40 old fashioned cake mascara from Italy. Nothing worked. my mascara would either wash off when I used eye drops giving me panda eyes, or flake off into my eyes causing me tremendous pain and infection. So I got this, it’s under 10 bucks, I had to try it. This mascara never flakes and no panda eyes! It’s one million percent waterproof, eye drop proof, and cry proof (watched heartwarming cat videos to test). I washed my face and eyes with DHC deep cleansing oil and mild soap, my lashes were still Coated. This mascara also coats evenly. It is a fiber mascara, which normally I avoid at all costs, but don’t worry, it won’t flake off. It extends and thickens each lash. I have cruddy straight tiny blonde eyelashes and this makes me look like I have extensions. It does eventually wear off, but it’s really more of a semi permanent lash dye/extension than a mascara. I wouldn’t go all the way to the lash line, leave that to your liner. Apply one coat and quickly comb if needed. I apply it every 2- 3 days. This stuff dries quick. I honestly just forget I’m wearing mascara, my lashes look great all the time and my eyes are not irritated. Also, no lash fall out if you gently wash your eyelids with your normal skin care regimen.
I have very short thick and straight Asian lashes. I've tried high end luxury mascaras, tube mascara, fiber mascara to hold my curls and avoid smudging below my eyes, but all of them failed. THIS mascara though, is amazing!! it does NOT smudge whatsoever even in super humid climate. It definitely makes my lashes longer, which actually makes me look like I have some resemblance of eye lashes.I use micellar water for waterproof makeup from Garnier and it comes off just fine.
Love it. My lashes doesnt go back down after I put it on. It stays up.
Pros & Cons - it never comes off.I love it, my second purchase, I got the brown color before Since black was sold out but love the black even more.I was immediately surprised that it's so hard to wash off. Best way I've found is oil, a wet wash cloth and patience.I don't use this everyday if I'm at home since it's not easy to wash off, I save it for the weekends / occasions / going out.I swim in the ocean multiple times a week wearing this and it doesnt smudge and my lashes look the same before and after.IMO it looks better in person than in photos
I do not recommend this mascara only because it is to hard to get off even with oil; and with the skin under the eye being so delicate, it will only cause premature wrinkles. If you worry about that.. This is a fiber mascara and the small fibers may get into the eye and cause infection (this happened to me).I had high hopes for this mascara but it isn't for me. I gave it a 1 star only because it being to hard to get off and you have to rub so hard on the eye.
well, it does what it says it does. it is absolutely long-wearing and does not budge. those with oily lids needn't worry - no raccoon eyes here. i've worn it several times and have taken out clumps of eyelashes while trying to remove it every time. i've used both oil-based removers and micellar water. you need a generous amount of oil, gentle hands, and a lot of patience. it's not the mascara for me but it does what the description claims so 4 stars it is.
This is my Holy Grail. I bought in k town in LA a few years back. So glad to find on Amazon. I'm 49 my lashes are blonde and not lush. Agmfter curling and with patience I can sculpt a falsies look. It takes time and patience to get this stuff off. You must find waterproof eye remover.
I do like this product, so far. Easy to remove. Washed face, then used a make up remover. No issues with that at all. Didn't seem to flake and no residue throughout the day. Will buy again.
I love this mascara so much!! I’ve been using the heroine one which is also good but I always had a problem when I would take it off. And this one comes off easily with Micellar water and doesn’t rip of lashes. I love how long it makes me lashes and it last all day.
I'm Asian with short and sparse lashes that don't stay curled easily and this mascara was very good. It held a curl all day and gave decent length and volume. It's waterproof and didn't seem to smudge much but was not too difficult to remove using an oil cleanser. This mascara also contains fibers which I was not expecting since it wasn't advertised. The only thing I didn't like is that it dries quickly and very stiff so it's hard to layer a more volumizing mascara on top without making everything clumpy, but for people who want a more neat and natural lash look without a ton of volume it should be great.
This is a great mascara if you like a drier formula. It holds a curl easily throughout the day. It doesn't smear after a hot and humid day. It is a bit harder to take off if you don't use a cleansing balm. Love it regardless.
Only down side is hard to remove but hold curls very nicely and now this is my favorite mascara 😍
This has become my favorite mascara ever. It's not too easy to remove but that's a good thing, right? haha. It does feel as if it added some lenght to my lashes. For me it's great but I'm not so sure this mascara is for everyone - it's strong so I can see how it could irritate some people's eyes.
Peripera is my absolute favorite mascara no matter which style of it you get.It gets a little bit like plastic on the lashes which I appreciate because it never runs all over the place or smears.Makes eyelashes look like falsies without all the hassle.I use an oil to take it off because it has excellent hold and will not remove with water, etc.I find alot of US mascaras to be too oily for my already oily eye area.Peripera is perfect and will go the distance with you.If you like a more natural look I do not suggest this because it definitely extends your lashes, making them look like they have volume, length, and rich color.
I have a love/hate relationship with mascara. I have super straight lashes and oily lids. That being said, raccoon eyes are the Bain of my existence.This mascara has been wonderful for me, it helps my lashes hold a curl and doesn’t come off or run till I hit it with cleansing balm. Micellar water is definitely not enough to take this off, it needs a heavier oily remover to break it down and sweep it away.
I have very short lashes and other than lash tint, I’ve never found a mascara that’s no kidding waterproof/smudge-proof. This is it!! You’ll need mascara remover to get it off because if not, then it will smudge when sleeping with it on. However, just gently wipe under the eyes w/ a cool washcloth and the smudge is gone!
Good product! I tear up EVERY time I yawn, and I’ve got very boring classes. So by the end of the school day my mascara is SMUDGED. I got this today and decided to put it to the test and it did not smudge at all! Also, I have very straight lashes, even with my curler heated up it lasts like 2 seconds lol. But this product managed to keep my eyelashes curled for a long time! I think it’s worth the absolute war I’m going to have with it later to take it off. (I find baby oil helps take it off)
