It doesn’t take a lot to really see the rainbow effect and the sparkle.It does a fantastic job and looks great on the finished product.
This glitter is so fine that it was exactly what I wanted for my apple cider bitterest that I decorated for my daughter's pre-prom send off. It looked really nice and elegant. I reciebed so many compliments.
Resin Glitter Fine Holographic, YGDZGosh, when they say "fine" on this, they mean FINE. I received the "Laser Black" color to review and it's been maddening trying to capture a picture that shows what you're working with. If you use this with resin, you need to be prepared to either use a LOT (yielding a uniformly colored piece that looks more like a mica-dusting than glitter, per se) or get used to the idea of a piece that is mostly clear resin but with tiny speckles of glitter throughout.Those seem to be the only options: either the entire piece is coated in glitter from top to bottom (which I note is how I would describe most of the sample product pictures) or you get a very very light glitter "effect" which is extremely subtle and requires direct and powerful light to really show off. This isn't a bad product, but it's not something you're going to want to add on a whim to a project; I really think everyone should approach this with a specific project in mind to be sure they're getting the best value. For example: will your product be receiving a lot of direct light to really set the glitter off to its best effect? My mistake but this glitter is so fine I had to use a Lot of it just to coat the inside of the ornaments.And then, when trying to dump excess, it came out in unusable clumps because there's no weight to it.I've used another, thicker glitter before and it was perfect for adhesive and coating inside of clear balls.I'll have to watch that word "fine" from now on.Other than this was too fine for my needs - it's very pretty and works as it should.
3.5 StarsI've used this now in a few projects and I haven't been blown away. When it said holographic I was thinking it might come out like black with a chameleon shift maybe. But it just seemed like black glitter. When added to resin it was okay but hard to see. When I then painted it in the mold first like the little treasure chest in the photos it was better but it is pretty muted unless you are directly shining a light at it.
I used this in resin epoxy. The colors were gorgeous in the sun. The lid is a bit difficult to use the smaller dispenser, so I just take the lid off to use.
